Water Smart Collier is a community-wide water safety initiative dedicated to preventing childhood drowning and promoting safe behaviors around water across Collier County.
Led by the NCH Safe & Healthy Children’s Coalition, Water Smart Collier brings together families, community partners, educators, and health professionals with one shared goal: keeping children safe in and around water.
Our Mission
We work to reduce childhood drowning and water-related injuries through education, awareness, and prevention. By empowering families and caregivers with lifesaving knowledge and partnering with local organizations, we strive to create safer environments for children throughout our community.
What We Do
Water Smart Collier focuses on:
- Water safety education for families, caregivers, and children
- Community outreach and events that raise awareness about drowning risks
- Prevention strategies that promote active supervision and safe water practices
